Lifecycle Events at Kehilat Shalom

Kehilat Shalom and Rabbi Charles Arian support and serve our community through all phases of the Jewish lifecycle. Abiding by the traditions and customs of the Conservative movement, but also understanding that ritual is personal in nature, we seek to create spiritual moments consistent with the background and spiritual preferences of individuals. We look forward to sharing many simchas with your family: a WeddingBris or Baby Naming, and Bar or Bat Mitzvah. We are also here to support you in times of illness and mourning.

Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to making your event special and meaningful. Our Religious School and Junior Congregation programs prepare your child to become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, and then carry their Jewish learning with them into their high school years and beyond. There are many opportunities for adults as well, including adult B’nai Mitzvah training, support for undergoing conversion to Judaism, Hebrew classes, and Torah reading tutors.

Kehilat Shalom’s in-the-round sanctuary flooded with natural light is the perfect setting for bringing loved ones together on any occasion. Our other facilities include a social hall, chapel, and kosher kitchen. For those welcoming a new baby, Kehilat Shalom works with all of the mohalim in the area, helping with referrals and planning. You are invited to hold the Brit Milah or Baby Naming either at Kehilat Shalom or in the intimacy of your home. For those who are saying goodbye to a loved one, we can help with leaders and books for shiva minyans and our daily minyan is available throughout the year for those who wish to say Mourner’s Kaddish.
