Sisterhood at Kehilat Shalom

Who We Are… The Women of Kehilat Shalom

Kehilat Shalom’s Sisterhood, a member of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ), provides the opportunity for women to connect with each other, make a difference in our community, and help Kehilat Shalom be a welcoming place. Sisterhood creates an environment that nurtures women and encourages personal growth, spiritual enlightenment, and the performance of mitzvot.

What We Do… Programs and Community Building

Our many social and educational programs include Kehilat Shalom’s Yom Kippur Break-Fast, a Hanukkah Boutique, Sisterhood Shabbat, and a Family Bowling and Ice Cream Party on December 25. We host an annual Women’s Seder, monthly Mah Jongg drop-in nights and an annual Mah Jongg tournament, an ongoing Book Club, and community Mitzvah projects. We support the Jewish Theological Seminary with an annual Torah Fund event and we are active participants in Women’s League on a regional and national level.

We Welcome You to Sisterhood

We invite you to join us for a future event, so we can get to know you and learn more about what kind of programs are meaningful to you. For more information, please contact Wendy Schneider-Levinson or Lauri Friedman, Sisterhood co-Presidents.
